In the frenzy of making the right choice for a Halloween costume this year, I looked at the options and decided it was rentals all the way!

There are many reasons why I would prefer to rent over purchasing a packaged retail costume, the reasons may vary depending on the person but here are some very good reasons I believe rental is superior to retail.

Instead of purchasing a new costume that you will likely only wear once and never find another use for, which inevitably will end up in the garbage, a rental allows you to use something that is already in existence and will be used again. This reduces waste and lets both you and others reuse the product to continue reducing waste. It also reduces clutter in your house, which as we all know minimalism is the way of the future. If you love buying vintage this is a great way to rent vintage, a piece with a story and character which leads to my next point. And no laundry because they do it all!

Every year at Halloween you end up seeing so many of the same characters and costumes over and over again.
